ICLEI – Local Government for Sustainability Indonesia, WRI Indonesia, and other TUMI partners organized an in-person city dialogue on “Indonesia E-bus Roadmap and Financing Strategy and Study Tour” from 17 to 19 October 2022.

The activity aimed to provide a platform for city representatives, financial institutions, private firms, and authorities for the discussion and knowledge-sharing on the operations, best practices, and management of e-buses in the cities of Indonesia.

13 local government officials from 7 cities in Indonesia, including Bandung, Bogor, Denpasar, Medan, Palembang, Pekanbaru, and Semarang City, participated in the program.

The speakers from the Ministry of Transport, the Transport Agency of Jakarta, the Transport Agency of Bali, PT TransJakarta, as well as other notable partners have been invited.

Suharto, ATD., M.M, the Director of Road Transport from the Indonesia Ministry of Transportation, emphasized the importance of formulating regulations that would ensure public transportation is a development priority.

The participating cities are currently developing regulations for the adoption of e-buses.
