The Jeju International Training Center, Korea Transport Institute, and East Asia Clean Air Cities Network (hosted by the ICLEI East Asia Secretariat) are inviting local government representatives throughout Southeast Asia to participate in the “Capacity Building Workshop on the Role of Mobility in Building Carbon-Neutral Society” on 4-6 May 2022.
Since 2010, JITC has been serving as a global training and research center to share Korea’s development experiences to cities in the Asia-Pacific region to support local governments in achieving environmental sustainability and low-carbon development. This year’s training topics will focus on the role of mobility in the road to carbon neutrality, carbon offset mobility options, mobility trend reflected in investment flows, case studies of transition towards carbon neutral mobility, and best practices of air pollution and climate change co-control in the transport sector.
The workshop will be hosted back-to-back with the International Electric Vehicle Expo (IEVE) on 3-6 May 2022. The IEVE an international platform for green energy and mobility, focused on sharing latest developments and cooperation in electric vehicles technology including Urban Air Mobility (UAM). It will be held both online and face-to-face in consideration of COVID-19 guidelines, and will provide online participants with access to conferences such as ‘Ministerial EV Leaders Roundtable’, ‘International Conference on Energy and Climate Change,’ ‘Green Hydrogen Forum’, in addition to its grand opening ceremony and virtual exhibitions.
