With the assistance of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), UN-Habitat and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) have teamed together to create cutting-edge expertise on multilevel governance for SDG localization.
The paper outlines new developments, significant insights, and practical considerations on how national and local governments may improve their multilevel collaboration for the SDGs, as well as an overview of the major recent developments. Cases from Argentina, Ghana, Italy, Jordan, and the Philippines were thoroughly examined in order to draw forth the practical implications and take-overs from their experiences as “living labs.”
