Japanese Mangas are one of the most widely known Japanese cultural products. The City of Kitakyushu has produced its very own manga in order to better communicate to the world its different environmental initiatives.

The recently launched Manga Study Guide: Our Future tells the story of Kitakyushu’s project with its green sister city Surabaya in Indonesia. The collaboration saw the establishment of a solid waste sorting facility in one of Surabaya’s waste processing sites.
