ICLEI Southeast Asia (SEA) recognized the Municipality of San Francisco, Cebu in the Philippines as one of its active, longstanding members by presenting a membership plaque, which was received by Adrienne R. Arquillano, Executive Assistant of the Municipal Mayor of San Francisco.
The plaque was given last April 15, 2026 during the fellowship night for fellows of the Socially Inclusive Resilience Leadership Program under the Enhancing Local Capacities in Socially Inclusive Resilience in Asia (SIRA) Project. The gathering was part of the International Conference on Local Equitable and Inclusive Resilience (ICLEI-R) held in Baguio City.
Arquillano served as a panelist in a session during the conference titled “Inclusive Governance in Practice: Integrating Vulnerable Voices into Local Climate Action.”
ICLEI SEA awarded the membership plaque as part of a series of activities for its 21st anniversary celebration, including recognition of its members.
The Municipality of San Francisco, Cebu has been an ICLEI member since 2012.
