Preparation and Training<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Coordinate relevant government and non-government offices to properly administer the activities<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Assist in the finalization of the following, in consultation with the Iloilo City LGU and ICLEI SEAS:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Sampling locations based on the identified waste generators in the municipality <i>(For the list of identified waste generators, see Annex A in the Terms of Reference found at the end of this posting)<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Sampling schedule and work plan<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Understand and\/or enhance capacities on the standard operating procedures (SOP) and WACS methodology to be employed<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Support the acquisition of tools, materials, and other necessary resources<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Orient community stakeholders<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>B. Conduct of on-ground waste quantification and characterization, plastic characterization, and brand audit<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Assist in the overall conduct of waste analysis and characterization<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Support the logistical requirements and preparation of waste samples to be sent to accredited laboratory facility for chemical characterization <i>(For the list of parameters, see Annex A in the Terms of Reference found at the end of this posting)<\/i><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>C. SWM Stakeholders Interviews<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Coordinate and liaise with relevant SWM stakeholders for the conduct of interviews.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Provide support in the preparation and development of interview design and methodology<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Provide assistance in the conduct of focus group discussions and key informant interviews of waste pickers, junk shops, and other SWM stakeholders<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>D. Data Processing and Analysis<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"ol3\">\n<li class=\"li2\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Assist in the consolidation and post-processing of data<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Provide support in the formulation and development of baseline study on solid waste of the city, with focus on plastic wastes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>E. Support the development of detailed activity and financial reports<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 3\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">DURATION AND LOCATION<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The Research Assistant shall be engaged for a period of two (2) months and shall start by 13 October 2020. The Research Assistant must be based in Iloilo City for the entire duration of this engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Must have at least a bachelor\u2019s degree in urban planning, development studies, urban planning, environmental management, statistics, or other related fields.
